Nerdcore Rapper Creates Zombie Parody for "Call Me Maybe"
In the last few years, the nerdcore genre has been the source of some of the most inventive parodies and mash-ups. MC Chris, perhaps the genre’s most well-known name, re-imagined Carly Rae Jepsen’s mega-hit “Call Me Maybe” as a zombie’s internal monologue in “Tasty Face.”
The song also references George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead and features brief sound bits from Alfred Hitchcock’sPsycho. “Tasty Face” provides one of the more imaginative refrains in recent memory: “Hey, I just met you / and this is crazy / but i just did bath salts / your face looks tasty.”
