Life Imitating Art? 10 Awesome Music Videos With Zombies
Just in case you haven’t really been paying attention the last couple of days, mofos are eating people out here.
People think it’s crazy and scary.
We’re starting to think this zombie thing is a trend.
Musicians and the music videos they make usually set the trend for what’s hot out here, and artists have been putting zombies in their videos for year.
So yeah, there’s a chance that a guy got high on some weird bath salt sh*t, but there’s also a chance that dude caught the “Thriller” video and got some crazy ideas.
Who knows?
But since acting like we're the living dead seems to be the trend this week, we decided to put together our favorite zombie-featured music videos from rap to rock to pop.
Michael Jackson - "Thriller"
Like, duuuh. We’ll just get this one out of the way first. Michael Jackson takes his girls to movies, it’s thriller night, so a bunch of cool dancing zombies pop up. Yada yada. You’ve seen it already.
Billy Idol - "Dancing With Myself"
People just assume the way to get to a zombie is shoot them in the head. But young Billy Idol proves all you need to do is get them dancing and you’ll be straight.
The Misfits - "Scream!"
George A. Romero, the director of Night of the Living Dead and basically the muthaf*cka that gave people the idea of eating other people’s heads, actually helped direct this cool looking Misfits video.
Rob Zombie - "Living Dead Girl"
Like really, the guy’s last name is Zombie. Do we have to say anything else?
Gob - "I Hear You Calling"
Zombies might have the advantage when it comes to strength and face-eating capabilities, but they ain’t got sh*t on us when it comes to soccer, which is what Gob proves in their “I Hear You Calling” video.
MGMT - "Kids"
MGMT puts some poor kid through hell as he gets freaked out over hideous zombies who actually are kind of cool. Don’t ever judge a book by its cover.
Robbie Williams - "Rock DJ"
Rob was all but willing to strip away all of his skin for a bunch of beautiful zombies. If the zombie apocalypse is really happening, we would also willingly sacrifice Robbie Williams.
Aesop Rock – "Coffee"
Underground rapper Aesop Rock filled his “Coffee” video with a bunch of ghoulish creatures like zombies and werewolves. He’ll shoot the same video when he records a song named “Bath Salts.”
You see, this is how we like our zombies: animated and not real!
In Kanye’s “Monster” video the zombies were unable to get to Kanye. Which means for our upcoming zombie invasion, Kanye is the answer. Proof that if everything else fails, just follow Mr. West.
