What is Tom Savini's Death Island?

Tom Savini, a legend in the horror genre, is set to direct a script that he helped write that will re-invent the zombie film. This is a very personal film for Tom. After directing the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead Tom said he would never want to direct another zombie film until he felt he could make them scary again. And with Tom Savini's Death Island he feels that time has come. And with your help, he will get this chance to bring this ground breaking film to life and out to the fans. So we're calling on all you zombie lovers and horror fans the world over to help us make this film.



With a great story, some of the most unique and horrifying zombie kills ever
filmed as well as a fast paced and thrilling adventure with wonderful characters, Tom Savini promises to give the fans what they want and create a world that will be talked about for years to come. The fans want a fresh and exciting take on zombies and Tom Savini’s Death Island is that film! And with this crowd funding effort you can be a major part of making this historic film a reality!

What We Need & What You Get

We are looking to raise $1,000,000 to film this feature length movie. 100% of the money raised will go into the budget. Tom is an experienced Director and Producer and has a capable team surrounding him that are set to move into action once the budget is secured.



Should we raise more than what we have targeted then Tom will be able to enhance the already incredible FX shots we already have planned for the film and maybe we can even add some more names to the cast as well. This will all depend on you. If we don't raise enough to meet our goal then we will use the funds we do raise to entice private investors and or distributors to jump onboard and help us reach our goal so we can move into pre-production.

In the end our plan is to put together a film that could potentially have a theatrical release and we know it will do some major damage on the DVD front when it's released. We fully expect Tom Savini's Death Island to become a staple in the zombie genre for years to come.

Zombie films have been around forever and are at an all time high right now. With the incredible success of AMC's The Walking Dead and most recently the blockbuster feature film, World War Z, the audiences are coming out in force to support quality zombie fare. Well Tom Savini's Death Island will not only give the fans what they want but it will also bring a fresh take to the screen and ground the zombie mythology to its original roots while also bringing some new and scary concepts to the table that have never before been seen on the screen. Tom wants to bring many of the ideas he had to this film that he was unable to bring to life when filming his version of Night of the Living Dead. 

And this will help Tom Savini's Death Island stand apart for the rest and revitalize the cinematic future of the living dead moving forward. Plus the chance to see some of the names Tom has lined up to appear in the film make it even better.
