It's been nearly three months since The Walking Dead Season 4 finale, and we still have another four months to go until it returns. Things are getting grim. Look, how can we put this? We're not patient people. We miss Daryl and Michonne and Tyreese — and now that Rick "Don't Screw with Me" Grimes is back (thankfully replacing Hallucinating Farmer Rick), our impatience for Season 5 is at an all-time high.
To tide us all over until The Walking Dead returns in October, we've put together a list of sure-fire ways to temporarily satiate our zombie appetite.
The Walking Dead Comic Book Series
"The books were so much better..." say all your pretentious friends (and occasionally you when you're feeling more enlightened than your social circle). To be fair, Robert Kirkman's continuing comic saga is an entirely different beast than the show it spawned (but, yes, it is arguably better). If you haven't already, catch up with past issues before digging into a fresh release on July 23 — The Walking Dead Vol. 21: All Out War, Part Two.
Zombie Runs
Zombie Runs
Maybe you like to be a little bit more hands on with your hobbies. In that case, you need to sign up for a zombie run. The 5K courses traverse mud pits, mountains, and mazes and include a rabid pack of humans-turned-zombies who really, really want to pretend to eat you. For details on dates and locations, check out the Zombie Run and The Zombie Run (two completely different companies with almost identical names and races).

The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season on Blu-ray and DVD
While you won't be able to get your hands on it till August 26, you can pre-order The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season today. Along with all the goodness of the packed season, the set also includes never-before-seen production footage, deleted scenes, and audio commentaries.
The Walking Dead Video Game
The Walking Dead Video Game
If you haven't already immersed yourself in TellTale Games' episodic masterpiece, then you're in for one gory treat. The game puts you in the driver's seat of protagonist Lee Everett's zombie nightmare. There's a refreshing focus on story and character development, which is probably why the game received worldwide critical acclaim. Try it out today — Daryl would be so proud.
A Zombie to Call Our Very Own
A Zombie to Call Our Very Own
Yes, this bad boy will run you back about $90, but what other purchase would so easily delight you and petrify your visitors. It's really a win-win situation when you slap a life-size zombie sticker on your wall — and just think of the memories you two could create.
