Whatever happened to...?

Synopsis:
It's been 5 years since the outbreak that wiped out 85% of the world's population, but the war between Re-Animates (Re-Ans) and Humans wages on. Most of the major cities are still uninhabitable. Within the few surviving cities, the Re-Ans have been segregated into "zones" and are policed by the R-Division of the QUASI S.W.A.T. Unit who hunt to re-kill the Re-Ans in the hope of quelling a second outbreak.

Re-Kill has had numerous release dates ever since it was announced a part of the 'After Dark' film series for 2011. Throughout the year, the other seven films from the 'After Dark' series were released. 'But Re-Kill' was nowhere to be seen.

Numerous release dates came and went, Still 'Re-Kill' was MIA. Then some information was announced.  It seems the film's delay has been attributed to the schedules of both director Valerie Milev - who was pulled away to film Code Red - and Courtney Solomon who went to direct the film Getaway with Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez and Jon Voight.

While Milev is credited with directing the film, Solomon has had a heavy hand in the production and Re-Kill is being considered a "collaborative" effort. This process got interrupted during post-production while both went off to shoot other project.

Now, apparently all the digital effects were added and word is that the film was to finally be done in September 2013.  Plans were made for an actual theatrical release early 2014.

Allegedly, the movie was released in Russia on July of 2014 under a different name of 'Re-Loaded.' Similarly, it was released under two more names, 'The Last Day' and 'Dead Ahead.'

It also was allegedly was released in the UK in 2013. Many people have said that it wasn't released in the UK. I actually did find a listing for it on Amazon.com/UK, but it said that it was "out of stock" and they had no idea when, if at all, would be available.

Supposedly, it will be released in 2015, but as of now, no official date has been announced.
