Romero's Next Flick: Autopsies of the Dead?

George A. Romero's career has been plagued by projects that were planned but never came to fruition, and the last several years have seen many rumors come and go with regard to what his next film will be on the heels of 2009's Survival of the Dead.
For now, it looks like all signs are pointing to Romero revisiting the undead once again.
According to Daily Dead, Romero has completed the script for his adaptation of the book The Zombie Autopsies, which he obtained the rights to a couple of years back. According to Romero the script is out in circulation, and he can now only sit back and hope it gets picked up and everything works out.

Synopsis
Dr. Stanley Blum is already infected (as is two thirds of humankind) with ataxic neurodegenerative satiety deficiency syndrome (ANSD)—the virus that makes flesh-eating zombies lurch and lunch—when he decamps to Bassas da India, an island overseen by the U.N., to vivisect captive zombies in the hope of isolating the pathogen before he succumbs to it.
