Nobody does pop culture parodies videos quite like YouTube sensations, and Nerdist Alliance members,The Hillywood Show®, made up of comedy sister duo Hilly and Hannah Hindi. They’ve tackled everything from Twilight to The Vampire Diaries to Doctor Who doing the Time Warp. But there is one television behemoth, a monstrously popular genre program, that as yet the Hindi sisters hadn’t yet devoured… AMC’s staggering hit The Walking Dead… UNTIL NOW THAT IS.
We gave you the tiniest of previews of this parody a few weeks ago, and now it’s finally here. Watch as Hilly gets grimy – Rick Grimes to be exact – and shoots the guts out of zombies to the tune of Queen’s biggest hit, “Another One Bites the Dust.” Quite a fitting soundtrack to so much undead slaughter. The production wanted to ensure authenticity, so The Hillywood Show® went on location for it.
“Being fans of AMC’S The Walking Dead, we really wanted to create a parody that celebrates one of our favorite fandoms. We conceived the concept, took off with it, and ran all the way to Georgia to film! We shot the parody over a course of six days, and had an epic adventure. It was as amazing experience to let our obsession and love for the show run wild when creating The Walking Dead Parody.”
You might also spot Supernatural actor and The Hillywood Show® fan Osric Chau making a cameo as a recognizable The Walking Dead character – keep your eyes peeled!
