WBEZ’s Zombie Apocalypse Drive-in Movie Event Will Be To Die For

 

This month, Chicago-area zombie fanatics will be celebrating all things “of the dead” with the Drive-In Double Feature! Zombie Apocalypse, hosted by Chicago Public Media (WBEZ 91.5 FM) as part of its fourth annual Off-Air Event Series. Adam Kempenaar and Josh Larsen, film aficionados and hosts of WBEZ’s Filmspotting, will host the double feature May 17 at Cascade Drive-In, the largest outdoor cinema in Illinois.

First up will be Jesse Eisenberg’s modern, Bill Murray-tinged classic, Zombieland. Then, no scaredy-cat audience members are expected to go to bed afraid, as Edgar Wright’s hilarious zombie-flick parody (starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) Shaun Of The Dead will show at 10 p.m. General admission is $15, $12 for WBEZ members, and priced per vehicle. The first hundred cars will receive a zombie-approved giveaway.
