Zombielanche is a feature-length film currently in development. This site serves as the homepage for the movie, and also a forum for discussing the themes of this movie. In short, Zombielanche is about zombies and it’s about climate change.
The movie
A team of climate researchers has found decisive proof of catastrophic climate change. But there are two major hurdles if their science is ever to see the light of day:
- An avalanche has buried them in their research station
- They’ve found an old U.S. military experiment in the rapidly-melting ice–a corpse that infects the team with a sentient zombieism.
The science (and its doubters)
Denying science is as old as science itself. Going back to Copernicus, humans have made a habit of it.
At Zombielanche.com, we really have no problem with people who don’t want to do anything about climate change, or don’t know what to do about it, or don’t want to spend a bunch of money fighting it. That’s all fine. But to deny that our climate is changing is to deny good science. That’s the part that seems so, well, zombieish. It’s a nasty infection that renders otherwise human beings into infectious zombies. We’d like to slow the spread of this zombieism. If we save the earth in the process, great, but at the very least we can all go down with our eyes open.
