Tucson AZ filmmaker launches latest zombie short





Zombies are coming to a theater near you, thanks to Tucson filmmaker Peter Leon.
Leon’s newest short film, “Copper Creek: Genesis” is his sixth released and is a sequel to the first installment, “Copper Creek.” Leon is also producing the film, which he co-wrote with friend J. Patrick Ohld.
The short film will premier Friday, Feb 6, at 8:30 p.m. at the Oracle View Theatre, 4690 N. Oracle Road #4, Tucson AZ.
Tickets cost $7.
The one-hour movie involves a delusional doctor, running from the law, who is determined to bring his wife back from the dead with the help of a local preacher.
In a deadly combination of science and religion, a zombie epidemic ensues.
The short film was shot between Tucson and Benson and stars all local actors.
