ZOMBIES WANTED!! ZOMBIES WANTED!! (OHIO)

Ohio orchard to host 'living dead' job fair for paintball zombies

BRUNSWICK, OH - On September 4, Mapleside Farms in Ohio is adding "Light Up The Living Dead," a zombie paintball experience, to its fall ensemble of tourist events.

The apple orchard's only goal for the job fair Tuesday is to hire 40 people wanting to play the undead and get shot by paintballs in the process.

On September 14, Mapleside Farms will launch Zombie Paintball, a haunted hayride featuring participants shooting paintballs at stationary targets and live actors portraying zombies. Participants will shoot the undead with paintball guns attached to the sides of a trailer being pulled through a specially-themed, nearly one-mile haunted path.

Each ride will accommodate 20 guests and will last about 15 minutes.

"We understand these are pretty unusual positions for which we are hiring," said Greg Clement in a news release, owner of Mapleside Farms. "We are looking for people who are eager to scare, who have fun in costume and don't mind dodging, or even getting hit with paintballs."

The Zombie Job Fair will take place September 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mapleside Farms, 294 Pearl Road in Brunswick.
For more information, you can call (330) 225-5576.

The Zombie Paintball will operate Friday and Saturday nights from 5 p.m. to midnight Sept. 14 through Nov. 3. It will cost $15 per person to ride and shoot paintball guns.

Mapleside Farms also runs Pumpkin Village, dubbed "100 acres of fun." It's a tribute to the fall season and includes the Adventure Farm Jump Park, the Moo-Lar Train Express, Super Slide, a 250-foot long hay-chute slide, hayrides, a 7-acre corn maze and many other activities.

Admission to Pumpkin Village is $12 for kids and includes all activities. There is also a discounted rate of $6 for parents and grandparents.

You can even purchase an all-inclusive pass that includes full daily access to all of the Pumpkin Village attractions as well as one ticket to Light Up the Living Dead for $20.
