SARASOTA- Looking for protection from zombies, or even the end of the world? Look no further. A new store on Siesta Drive in Sarasota has you covered.

Two weeks ago, the Survive Anything store opened its doors. The owner, Mike Crea says he wants to make sure people are prepared for the worst.

"It is important to be aware and to be knowledgeable if something does happen. So far, customers have loved the idea of the store," Crea says.

The store sells products that will help you survive just about anything. Products like, gas masks, dry food, books on survival, swords, knives and pet evacuation gear. It also sells a wide range of products to protect people during hurricanes and other natural disasters.

"It's a really comfortable environment," said Colleen O'Donnell, a customer. "It's a very interesting store and it's fun to be here. I am learning so much about what I don't have and what I need for survival."

So far business is booming, due in large part to recent news events that have some believing there really are zombies among us. A few months ago, a Miami man was found eating another man's face on a sidewalk near a busy street. While there probably aren't any zombies out there, the store sells books on surviving zombie outbreaks and zombie pepper spray. Crea says those are some of the best sellers so far.

The store is open 7 days a week from 12pm to 10pm.

Crea says in a few months the business will offer a course where you will be taken out into the woods and learn how to survive without your everyday necessities.
