THE 4th ANNUAL FLINT ZOMBIE WALK! (MICHIGAN)

t's the fourth annual Flint Zombie Walk featuring a full day of entertainment including our Grand Marshal Ken Foree!!

Admission is $10 (veterans, military personnel and children twelve and under free!!!)

Questions about how this all works? Eddie the zombie answers all your questions!!

Q: Good grief, there sure are a lot of undead folks shambling about. What exactly does this mean for me and the rest of humanity?
A: Oh, you silly fleshie. Relax. It’s just me and my zombie pals getting ready for the Flint Zombie Walk! There’s nothing to fear….yet.

Q: Zombie Walk? What’s that?
A: It’s a chance for all of you human type folk to dress up like zombies and wander the streets of Flint in order to raise money for charity! Plus, it’s a chance for us zombies to size you guys up and pick out the really slow ones for later feasting.

Q: So how does it work?
A: Simple! On World Zombie Day (Saturday, October 13th), we’ll be gathering at the Masonic Temple in Flint to participate in the walk. You simply make a ten dollar donation to the cause (military personnel, veterans and children under twelve can walk for free) and join the mob as we take to the streets!! Plus, we have a full day of activities, celebrities and vendors on hand to ensure you are pleasantly distracted while we gnaw on your bones.

Q: Ten bones is a lot of money. Where is the money going?
A: First, I like the way you said “bones”. Like I said, all monies raised by the walk go directly to charity (in this case, the Michigan School for the Deaf Alumni Association). We're promoting American Sign Language, so this event is open to hearing and deaf individuals and will be interpreted.

Q: Okay, so explain some of these activities you have going on.
A: Man, you ask a LOT of questions. You must have quite the juicy brain. At 9:00 am on the day of the event, we’ll begin registering participants for the walk. The days activities begin with registration for the walk. At 10:00 am, we’ll open the doors to the Masonic so folks can watch live make up demonstrations, check out our vendors, and chat with our Grand Marshal. The walk itself will take place at 1:00 PM. Immediately following the walk, join us back at the Masonic where we’ll be raffling off amazing prizes, and we’ll be having an inspirational talk and Q & A session with our Grand Marshal, Ken Foree!! Finally, at 6:00 PM, we’ll close the doors and everyone can shamble on back to their little crypts until next year.

Q: Ken Foree? Who’s that?
A: He’s our Grand Marshal. I just said that.

Q: That’s what he’s DOING. It doesn’t tell me who he IS.
A: Good point, Johnny Pickypants. Ken Foree is a very famous actor best known for his starring role in the original George Romero 1978 classic, 'Dawn of the Dead'. He’s worked in a ton of other films, and was even a regular on Kenan and Kel, but we don’t hold that against him. Anyway, he’ll be leading the walk for us this year and he’ll be signing autographs and taking photos with our guests. It may seem weird to have a zombie killer as our Grand Marshal, but we figure if he didn’t shoot Kenan and Kel in the head, we’re probably safe.

Q: Oooohhh!! Cool! Will he be charging for autographs?
A: Well, yes, but that’s actually pretty cool. You see, these celebrities don’t charge us to appear at this event, and we think allowing them to sell their merchandise is a nice way to thank them for coming here. They take time away from the schedules to support us, and we think it’s only right to support them.

Q: Anything else I should know?
A: Yes. Don’t use sentence fragments.

Q: I meant about the walk, jerkwad.
A: Oh. Well, you can pre-register for the event and pay ahead of time by following this link: https://www.facebook.com/events/327556157329945/

That gets you entered into a drawing to attend a private party with our Grand Marshal on the night before the walk. Also, you have to dress up as a zombie to attend the walk. Sorry, them’s the rules. Call it our recruitment policy. And of course, we always suggest you bring cash with you, as we have many cool vendors who will be selling some awesome things, and it’s always nice to support them.

Q: Anything else awesome going to happen?
A: What did I tell you about sentence fragments?

Q: Sorry.
A: It’s okay. To answer your question, YES! But we’re not going to spill the beans just yet. Keep checking back here for more updates!!
