Walking Against the Wind AKA The Postal Service vs Zombies
A novel about a postman just trying to deliver the mail in a small town in Kentucky. Too bad there are zombies gallavantin' around.
Three years ago, I had an idea for a book about a postman just trying to deliver the mail in a zombie-filled world. And finally, after many starts and stops, I've finished that story. Now, I want to put some art in it. I think all stories are better with art, but to do that, I need your help.
A good looking cover and good quality art are not cheap, so I need your help to cover the costs. A couple drawings and the book's cover are finished and shown below to give you an idea of how it all will look.
The writing is finished and edited, so as soon as this campaign is over and the art is done, it will go to print. I estimate delivery time around early September.
About the Story
The story is set in a small tobacco town in the foothills of eastern Kentucky where a group of hardworking country folks are just trying to get by. It's been two years since the Outbreak, but death continues to roam around outside the town's fence. The folks inside do their best to carry on life as normal, and it helps if the mail is delivered on time.
The book follows the Postman around for a week as he fights off zombies, a rival delivery service, and apathy. He's been stuck with a new trainee, and a storm's getting ready to blow through. It's going to be a long week to say the least.
Art for the book will be done by Jeff Lawrence.

Over-funding
The more this project is funded, the more art will go into the book.
