Zombie workplace safety campaign aimed at youth

Zombies have been recruited to teach young people in Manitoba about workplace safety.
The undead education campaign was released today by Labour Minister Jennifer Howard at a special screening at the Park Theatre.
Howard and representatives of Safe Workers of Tomorrow said the goal of campaign — produced by Winnipeg communication company ChangeMakers — is to reach out to young people so that they’re aware of their rights.
Safe Workers of Tomorrow says workers between 15 and 24 reported more than 5,000 workplace injuries in 2011.
Almost 50 per cent of workplace accidents involving young people, many who work part-time, happened during the workers’ first six months on the job.
