WASHBURN ZOMBIE DAYS 2012 10/25 - 10/27 (WASHBURN, WI)


October 25

Zombie Days Blood Drive! Great news! The drive has been scheduled for Thursday, October 25 from 2-6PM. You can schedule your own appointment by going to www.mbc.org where you can then click on the Donate tab that says "schedule now."  From there, you will click on the tab "schedule a donation at a blood drive" on the left hand side where you can then click on the sponsor code tab on the top right of that page.  Enter in sponsor code "4050" and that will bring up our drive at the bottom of the page.  If you have any problems, please let us know and we can schedule an appointment for you.  By volunteering to do this, you are saving lives.  Every two seconds someone needs blood and you can help.  Even better is that Memorial Blood Center disperses donations to local hospitals, including Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, so you have the chance to help someone right here in our community.

Also, don't forget to help spread the word!   We have 26 slots to fill and I'd like to have people on a waiting list because appointments do have to cancel last minute due to illness or otherwise.

  • Carved Pumpkin Contest Judging - Children and adults alike enter your carved pumpkin at Washburn Hardware and Sport on Wednesday, October 24 by 5PM to be displayed and judged.  *Categories are Funniest, Scariest, Cutest, and Most Complex
     
                            50/50 Ticket sales take place all month long

  • 10AM- Vendors on Library Lawn on Washington Ave. VENDOR APPLICATION FORM
  • 11:30AM-12:30PM - Zombie Make-Up Booths on Washington Ave. by Library
  • 1:00PM - Parade down Washington Ave; starting at 8th Ave. W. (By St. Louis) PARADE ENTRY FORM
  • After Parade: "Boo-gie Up the Hill" - Bike ride up Washington Ave.  Starts at City Hall. REGISTRATION FORM
  • 2-4PM: Lion's Club hosted children's carnival games and treats at the Washburn High School
  • 2-4PM: Flashlight Guided tours through "the tunnel" for spooky story time
  • 2-4PM: Performances by Washburn High School's Fire and Ice
  • 4:30PM: Zombie Walk/5k DOWNLOAD 5K REGISTRATION FORM
  • 5:30PM: Creepy Zombie Rampage Snacks - $1 - Provided by Washburn Area Historical Society
