What a Zombie Attack would be like in Pakistan!

This was in my email and I thought it would be a fun read for you guys!

For those of you that love the idea of a zombie infestation in Pakistan, there probably isn’t anything on the internet that actually has the word zombie and Pakistan interconnected, but to satisfy your craving of what a walking dead attack would look like in this country, I’ve decided to play out my imagination for you.

Being a fan of the whole zombie idea, I’ve always wanted to see what would happen if I was to be in one. Not that I really want it to happen, just fantasising is the point here. If you’ve watched the walking dead, you will have a pretty good idea of where I’ll be going in my little zombie attack on Pakistan depiction. If not and you are a fan of the living dead, than go and watch the T.V series as soon as possible because you are missing out on a lot.
The Beginning
For most of us living in Pakistan, we have unfortunately become accustomed to hearing news about people being killed in weird incidents that really do not have an effect on us anymore. So hearing about someone eating somebody else probably won’t intrigue us, until and unless it was to happen to someone we knew.

The early zombies would be treated like people who have been possessed by demons and usually maulvi’s would come to the rescue and also be devoured by the living dead. After a few similar incidents around the country, people would begin noticing that something strange is happening.
Our media, being the story hungry media that it is, would definitely break out the news in an instant and slowly begin to bring in doctors to the scene to give their views on the situation.
Pharmaceutical companies would start rolling out anti-zombie medicine almost instantly, fake or real, business needs to go on and our homeopathic doctors would not be far behind either.

The Outbreak!

A zombie virus wouldn’t take long to spread like wildfire in Pakistan due to our densely populated cities and rural areas where people would rather wait and see what happens instead of doing something right away.
The safest place without a doubt would be the Islamabad/Rawalpindi area where the top brass of the Government and Army would be. If the government found out about the breakout, there would be little information released to the public in order to avoid creating panic because our people do panic a lot indeed and could worsen the situation.
The second scenario would be that the government would not find out until an area was to be hit hard and the media wrecked havoc on the people sitting in power, but by then, it would certainly be too late.
Islamabad/Rawalpindi would most probably be locked down with lines of cars rushing towards the nation’s capital to seek refuge, but only few would be actually allowed into the twin cities.
Lahore and Karachi would be hardest hit as zombies driving rickshaws and tangas could be seen everywhere while packed streets with abandoned cars would make it impossible to drive out of the city.
Schools and all public places would be abandoned with people looting the markets at any opportunity in order to stock up on food items while criminals wander the streets and loot anyone they possibly can before being eaten alive.
Masjids would be filled with the religious, seeking the help of God to eliminate the living dead while most families would be stuck in their homes, which fortunately, would be able to bear the zombie attack due to heavy doors made out of metal and brick walls.
It would not take long before the sound of helicopters flying above every neighbourhood and fleets of police and army vehicles try to move in and kill as many of the undead as possible, but it would be impossible to wipe out hundreds of thousands, if not millions of infected people.

The army and police would continue fighting our shalwar kameez and dohti wearing zombies until they can’t fight anymore, something which they are known for doing and would definitely be in favor of those who have survived up until now.

Neighbouring countries would also be very much affected by this as India would most probably line their border with us with army men while Afghanistan would just suffer as zombies spring out from mountain tops and attack those poor souls who never even knew zombies could exist.
China would most probably send in some of its army to help fight but up to an extent to which they would be forced to completely shut down their border with us and look the other way since an outbreak up North would prove to be devastating to the entire Asian continent to the point of no return.
The Final Result
After months of fighting, most survivors would begin looking for ways to restart their lives as the military would be in full swing and killing off the remaining walkers. Life would certainly be hard in the rural areas as supplies would run short and entrances to cities would be completely blocked.
There would obviously be no electricity anywhere and only those who would have managed to store enough resources for a couple of months would have the luxury to continue living somewhat decent lives.
Slowly, the people that managed to stay alive would still have to be careful every time they come out since zombies know when and where to hide in order to find themselves a meal, which if not controlled, might just result in another outbreak.
An already weak Pakistani economy would be crippled as businesses and public offices would be completely shutdown. The world would have support the country for many, many years to come until we can get back on our feet.
All this is being said if Pakistan itself is able to control the situation and if not, then God be with us because renaming this country to Zombieistaan wouldn’t seem too irrational to many.
