Video: What Zombie Horrors Await Walking Dead’s Survivors?

After a nail-biting second season, only a few of the original cast members of The Walking Dead remain among the living.
Wired interviewed two of those survivors — the crossbow-swinging Daryl (played by Norman Reedus) and the ever-hopeful Glenn (Steve Yuen) — and asked them what’s in store for Season 3 of AMC’s zombie series, including the prison and Rick Grimes’ new personality.
Is the prison, where the survivors hole up this season, a sanctuary or a dead end? And while Daryl has become a key member of the group, remember his racist brother Merle? You know, the one who cut off his hand to escape the walkers? Reedus says his big brother is back in Season 3 and it’s not going to be pretty: Merle is way more frightening than any zombie.
I hope this little band of stragglers has a chance, but at the rate it’s going, I wouldn’t get too attached to any of the characters. It may be just a matter of time.
Season 3 of The Walking Dead premieres Oct. 14 on AMC. If you need to catch up on any episodes, check out AMC’s Walking Dead marathon Oct. 13.
