Randomly generated zombie game, Dead Pixels, comes to Steam

December 7 th, 2012 United Kingdom, CSR-Studios is proud to announce that the indie hit Dead Pixels is coming to Valve’s digital distribution network, Steam. Windows users will be able to purchase the game from 6pm GMT today onwards, for the low price of $2.99/£1.99/€2.99.

In Dead Pixels a toxic waste spill finds its way into the water supply, causing the recently deceased to rise from their graves. Now it's up to the player to blast your way through the hordes of undead if they're going to escape the city. On the way to your rescue, they'll search stores and houses for supplies, and trade with other survivors.

Key features of Dead Pixels include:
·         Over 100 weapons, grenades and items.
·         A procedurally generated city that’s different every time you play.
·         3 modes of play.
·         4 difficulty modes.
·         Single player and two player local co-op.
New features added to Dead Pixels for the Steam release include:
·         30 achievements for players to unlock.
·         Online high-scoreboards.
·         Extra modes that unlock with achievements
·         A reworked “Developers Cut” of the Last Stand game mode.

A way for those that bought the game on PC before the Steam launch to get a steam version will be made available after launch.

Originally released on Xbox Live Indie Games in September of 2011, Dead Pixels has since gone on to sell more than 60,000 copies, and become one of the highest rated games on the service. In May 2012, it got its PC launch with the Indie Royale’s Graduation Bundle and in September, it was awarded the 2ndplace in Microsoft’s prestigious Dream Build Play contest.
