Animales de la Muerte Returns as iOS Zoombies Game

The cancelled WiiWare project Animales de la Muerte has now gone onto become a mobile/tablet game where players take on zombie animals.
The zombie obsession is set to continue with the project launching on the iOS app store this week. Animales de la Muerte originally begun live as a WiiWare project, but developer High Voltage had to cancel it due to the size restrictions on the service at the time. The concept was then shifted over to PC, PSN and XBLA.
But then it simply went missing. The game has now returned as Zoombies, and instead of being a first person console shooter, will be a casual mobile experience instead. The premise is still the same - two children visit a Mexican zoo during a school trip, however a deadly virus breaks out and the once adorable stock become flesh eating animal zombies. It's down to the pair to use hatchets, crowbars and machine guns to prevent further contamination.
No word on a Wii U or 3DS eShop version yet, however.
