KICKSTARTER PROJECT: E.L.E. Extinction Level Event

Welcome to Pandora Falls
Welcome to Pandora Falls
This is a story of survival, told through the eyes of seven unique characters. Pandora Falls is a small tourist town nestled deep in the mountains. It's a town where everyone knows each others business and for the most part they all get along. On the day of the town's fall festival, we find everyone is busy with their day-to-day life. Almost nobody notices a glowing green comet crash-land in their own backyard! The events thereafter will change the course of their lives forever...if they survive that is.

Shortly after the comet is discovered, the townsfolk begin to transform into something alien in nature, they become the walking dead! They begin to feed on the fine folks of Pandora.

Through events that you'll only find out by reading the book, you'll learn why this ragtag group of kids are stuck in what was once a peaceful town. Not only are they forced to survive the plague that is blanketing Pandora, but they must battle it to not only ensure their survival...but possibly the entire world's!

What we're trying to do.
We want to tell a fun and gripping story that will span 8 issues.  We quickly realized that getting the funding to all 8 issues to pay the art team and print all the issues and other rewards would be nearly impossible.  So we agreed to start out small. There will be a Few phases. This here is phase onePhase one consists of the first 2 issues of E.L.E. We felt it would be easier to raise the money to produce individual issues to ensure we can keep going on this project, and to put a book out there in a more timely manner! So you as the reader and backer, if you choose to be, can get to reading this exciting story sooner rather than later.

Where the money is going.
Most of issue #1 has been penciled and about half of it has been inked and colored.  (See the above video) So far I've paid for all of this out of my own pocket and to be honest it's pretty expensive. With your help I'll be able to pay the penciler and inker/colorist to work full time on just E.L.E. Along with paying them to work on this book, you will get to choose from a list of rewards in the side column. All we want to do is finish this book and deliver a fun and exciting story to you the reader! We can't do it without your help though. Even if you can't afford to help, if you'd like to support us, please post a link to this page via your Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr page. Anything to help us out!

Who are we?
FRANCISCO QUILEZ (Penciler)
A self taught Freelance Artist who's worked in 2D and 3D animation for over 10 years now. His work has been seen in interactive video games to feature films and television shows. This will be his first independent comic book.
Neko Punch (Inker, Colorist, Letterer)
"I'm a 23 years old self-taught artist whose dream is to keep drawing all life long. I currently work for Dark Brain Comics as a colorist and inker, and other projects with people from all around the world. I also draw my own comics and illustrations."

Risks and challenges

Because Neko Punch is inking, coloring, and lettering the comic, the biggest challenge of delivering the product is on her. However, once the project is funded, then she can be compensated and devote all of her attention to the comic full time. So, the sooner E.L.E. gets funded, the sooner Neko can devote all of her time to this project.
Another possible challenge is waiting for the printer to actually print the issues. The plan is to use Ka-Blam and we understand that it can take some time to actually print the issues, we are hoping we can get the printing down outside of the convention season making for a much faster turn around.
Some of you may notice that this is the second time this comic book has attempted a Kickstarter. Originally I was looking to fund 4 issues, single and collected in a paperback trade, half of the 8 issue story at once. This time, Issue 1 just needs a few finishing touches and we can move on to issue 2. This is why we can afford a much smaller GOAL than I was looking to achieve last time.
