Alicia comes from a notorious family and expects everything to fall in her lap without any work, throwing Brandy under the bus over and over. When Brandy's had enough, she decides to leave Alicia behind. With a new location, better peers and the promise of first love, she reaches for success and achievement. For a time, she can't resist being there for a best friend who never really gives her best at all.
As a result, Brandy loses her grasp on what counts and decides it's time to sever the ties of friendship.
Filled with bitterness, depression and resentment, Alicia turns to Z-13, a supposedly legal synthetic drug. Unfortunately for mankind, the Z-13 sold at the head shop in Coldwell kills people, but they don't stay dead. These contaminated victims attack others launching a deadly zombie epidemic that terrorizes the town. The would-be "stoners" become Zoners, re-animated corpses driven by the singular goal of killing people for revenge first. While they are fixated on their target, they hunger for living flesh.
