When you want to smell like death...

Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse could be as simple as spraying on cologne, reports CNet.
The idea came to Raychelle Burks, a chemist at Nebraska’s Doane College, as she was watching an episode of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” which is filmed in Georgia.
In one scene the survivors covered themselves with blood and guts from zombies and were able escape a horde of Walkers that surrounded them.
Zombies, it seems, are attracted to the smell of living flesh.
Burks wondered if there was a less messy way to confuse the walking dead and she found one: Death Cologne.
It combines two chemicals that our bodies give off when they’re decomposing, putrescine and cadaverine, with a dash of methanethiol to give it a rotting egg smell.
Burks says the chemicals are so smelly that it only takes a very small amount to achieve that rotting flesh smell, so  “we won’t have to make a whole lot to save a whole lot of people.”
The American Chemical Society is so excited about Death Cologne that it produced a video explaining the concept in great detail.
