Game description
"Zombie Survival Simulator will be a unique SIM/RPG game for multiple platforms. ZSS is not a mere 'rip-off' of other games - using the developers own engine built from the ground up and taking the concept of the zombie survival horror theme while mixing it with addictive and new gameplay ideas, styles and elements. You will assume the role of an anonymous male or female character trying to survive in a sandbox hell of the walking dead. Find food, water, shelter, weapons and survivors in your struggle to pass the dayz."
About the project
As it stands the game is roughly 50% complete - the engine and logic is done using parts of my previous projects and codebase (including years of work), fully optimised and ready to rock. The project is now at the stage where I am adding the majority of content (npcs, events, zombies, locations etc).

I am a developer and what I am trying to do is bring a concept I feel will be fun and fresh to a genre that has been overplayed in other areas (zombie themed fps for example). ZSS will be a game that almost anyone can pick up, play at anytime and enjoy.
• Hundreds of different locations each with randomised events (set for that location) makes a seemingly infinite world or 'sandbox'.
• Simple yet tactical gameplay anyone can adapt to.
• 100's of zombie types and NPCs. (begun)
• Base 'building' elements. (started)
• Real-time elements. (implemented)
• Multiplayer elements (leaderboards implemented, statistics perhaps trading possible).
• Character customisation.
• ZSS as a game can be explained as a randomised 2d sandbox RPG (Fallout/Skyrim) mixed with human interaction and zombie theme.
What your funding will bring to the project:

What your funding will bring to the project:
• Assist with development costs (premium APIs, utilities, translation, additional hardware/software if needed).
• Asset/Artist costs (while I have a LOT of assets already compiled including backgrounds, more artists would benefit the project).
• Dedicated server and integrate a meta game on website (statistics etc)
• Multiplayer elements (Trading and other things are probably possible).
• Initial promotional costs (advertising and marketing).
• Additional team members and contributors (depending on success of kickstart).
• Steam Greenlight and Ouya conversion/submission. Possible Blackberry port.
• Overhaul to the PC/Mac version including shaders/filters and other possible effects.

**Special thanks (your name) mention on the website. (everyone who donates £1 or more)**
***Please specify required T-Shirt Size when requested.***
****The free copy of the PC/Mac version of the game included with donations will be shipped when product is ready ETA 09/2013 all other rewards will aimed at 07/2013****
If the project makes double or more on kickstarter?
I will release a free open beta on the website and consider a free 'lite' version for mobile platforms + A discounted price for the full version at launch and a free DLC (content update) for the final release.

If the project does not reach kickstarter?
I will still push forward to bring a fantastic ZSS to gamers in 2013. Although I would like to try and bring the best quality product possible. I can always try the kickstarter again with new insight. :)

RISKS AND CHALLENGES
As with most games I have a target date. July 2013 - however as with all video games (especially depending on funding and quality assurance) I may have a delay. I would like to express that I am extremely optimistic about reaching my goal before year ending 2013.
