Russian filmmakers are releasing a new zombie movie set in Kazan, the capital of Russia’s predominantly Muslim Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the teaser trailer, which became available on YouTube on June 13, the film centers around two protagonists, Vika and Max, a sister and brother who must escape Kazan after the outbreak of a zombie virus.

The movie is titled “VIRION.”

E-kazan.ru says a group of local entrepreneurs is financing the film, though there’s no commercial release yet planned. Moviegoers waiting for “VIRION” don’t know yet if it will come to theaters everywhere, or go straight to online downloads. For now, they’ll have to make due with the teaser.
