KICKSTARTER PROJECT: GUERILLA ZOMBIE HOUR: PICK YOUR SIDE

Two Filmmakers decide to take advantage of the zombie apacolypse by using real zombies to improv with actors...a la "Tropic Thunder".

Web Series Synopsis

You've heard about the downside of zombie infestations. Now get a look at a small group of indie filmmakers, and their loyal PA, who make the best of an undead apocalypse.
Guerilla Zombie Hour (GZH) the Web Series follows two filmmakers, their PA and their female film lead as they try to make a zombie film shooting guerilla style...using real zombies that are showing up in town. Along the way they encounter obstacles such as the Zombie Slayer Gangs (i.e. Video Game Zombie Slayers, Bikini Zombie Slayers and the Cosplay Zombie Slayers) and a rival film crew that is trying to find out how our two filmmakers have such realism in their shots. Easy, they have real actors improv with real zombies...unbeknownst to the actors,  a La "Tropic Thunder".
"We're Documenting this Man!" - Steve
Steve begins with good intentions.  He wants to document the group overcoming the multitude of obstacles that they as indie filmmakers normally encounter while making a film.  Everything is going great until a Zombie Apocalypse arises.  Steve comes up with a great idea to cut budget costs and improve the quality of their film... use the real zombies for their zombie film.  Before Patrick can say “NO”, Steve rents a van, hires a makeshift crew and convinces hot actresses to improv at various locations (wherever they can find a zombie), all while the cameras are rolling and documenting them making a movie.
Things heat up and become a little difficult with the Zombie Slayers trying to kill every zombie in town.  So the crew, well Steve, decides to corral a few zombies and take them to an undisclosed filming location.
If you contribute or promote our campaign you'll get to watch as the CREW MAKES A FEATURE FILM and companion web series in real time, with the actual undead*.

* by "undead" we mean dudes in make-up.... or do we?
The Point of all this
GZH is about filmmakers overcoming obstacles (to the hilarious extreme) in order to get the film done.   So there will be many things to overcome; talent being eaten, re-writes, people running from zombies, zombie slayers, and yes once and a while, motivating a memeber or two on the crew to do their best no matter how real the zombies are acting.
Why is there no website for the Web Series?
GZH is a social media project.  We have Youtube, FB, Twitter and Kickstarter as mediums to present our project.  No FooFoo stuff here.  We're about substance.  We're putting every penny into making GZH excel through content.

RISKS AND CHALLENGES

GZH dealt with, and continues to deal with, many challenges during its production. The greatest challenge we have is our locations since we are filming the web series “guerilla style.” We may have written a scene for a certain location but unable to film at that location for various reasons (weather, public noise, no permit, etc.) If we are unable to find another location quickly, that may delay the episode which may delay reward arrivals. Things happen and people happen. In the past, we have had to overcome our "lead" not being able to show up at the last minute, so we've had to compromise and make...drum roll...our Production Assistance our lead. We've planned a dance scene with 50 people to only have 8 people show up for the shoot. So we had to re-write the scene on location and get everything filmed before our allotted scheduled time was up. These are challenges and obstacles that our team has gone through and will continue to overcome successfully. We enjoy the challenge and some of our best work has come from these improvisations. .
Another challenge for GZH is successfully mixing comedy with horror. We have faith that we have come up with a winning formula that brings uniqueness to the zombie/horror genre just like Army of Darkness, Zombieland, and Shaun of the Dead brought something original. We are confident that with the help from Kickstarter we will make Guerilla Zombie Hour succesful.
We hope we've presented you with enough information to want to see the Web Series come to fruition and Hopefully just HOPEFULLY, share and get this KICKSTARTER to the point where we can make the film the Web Series crew creates available.
